Two Men Face Charges Over Heathrow ‘Pepper Spray’ Incident

Formal charges have been brought against two men related to a suitcase robbery where a believed to be pepper spray caused injuries at the UK's busiest airport.

Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, have both been charged with two counts of robbery and charges for deploying a toxic agent, as confirmed by court officials.

This legal action stems from an probe of an assault at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on the weekend. Earlier that day, two female travelers had their suitcases stolen after exiting a car park lift, according to law enforcement.

A toddler was among those injured in the event. Several persons required hospital care and were subsequently released.

This event – described by police as was a standalone event and deemed non-terroristic – led to disruptions to rail services and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking area for a brief period.
